Rapper, musician, composer, and politician Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu (11 June 1993 – 29 May 2022), also professionally known as Sidhu Moose Wala. His main fields of employment were Punjabi-language films and music. Moose Wala is widely considered as one of the most influential and controversial Punjabi artists of all time, as well as one of the best artists of his generation In addition, he was credited with helping Punjabi musicians gain acceptance in the mainstream music industry.
Moose Wala was listed by The Guardian in 2020 as one of the 50 emerging artists.[13] Along with becoming the first Indian and Punjabi singer to perform at Wireless Festival, he also took home four Brit Asia TV Music Awards accolades.
